Ideal size for travel. I've traveled all over Portugal with it and was even able to sit down at the table without taking the bag off - this really surprised me as my other Pac Safe travel bags weren't as easy to use. It is water resistant but not waterproof. The pouring rain will pass, although it won't get wet inside. Light rain is not a problem. I'll be back on the road soon and will report if the weather in Scotland is having a different effect on the wallet.
