Review on Language I/O conversational translation tools by Kyle Deel
I've had a couple of issues with this company.
A few things that stand out. 1) I have not seen any evidence that they are actually providing language services. I'm getting messages in English that say something to the effect of "your request has been received" and I have not seen any translations provided. I'd like to see some sort of proof of service before I would give them my business. 2) They claim to have 50+ languages covered. This may be true if they're covering those languages directly, but I'd love to see evidence that they have native speakers of those languages in house to translate from English. 3) Their pricing is pretty much out of control. I was quoted $3K for 500 hours of usage per month (they offer discounts for volume). That means if I use less than 20 minutes a week, I'm paying almost $600 a year. If I use more than that, I'll be paying hundreds of dollars a month. For such a small amount of usage, that seems way too high.
- It is easy to understand and implement as it's written in java, but also allows the customization of many options.
- Easy to implement as it's written in java, it's very straightforward.
- You can do custom programming but it will cost you time and money.
- There is no integration with a company database or cloud storage so you have to export the files into their server first.
