These pajamas are so cute! They have a slimmer fit rather than a loose, flowy fit (like they look in the photos). My son is 4 and wears a 4-5T but I found many 4T pajama tops to be too short so I ordered 5-6T. The tags say they are a size 6 so they have grown bigger and definitely have room to grow so they can be used for several years! The material is soft, stretchy and a little thinner than I expected. My son gets hot when he sleeps, especially for the first few hours, and they seem to be breathable so I noticed he doesn't sweat as much. The ankle is not a problem. I need to roll up the elastic at the waist and then let the fabric roll up near the ankles. The sleeves are too long for him but same situation with the fit and cuffs, it doesn't matter much and they don't fall over the arms. They've been washed a few times now and are holding up great. No disappearing graphics or loose threads. They also didn't shrink (optically or in size). I would order a set for myself, but neither the fit nor the look is important to me.
