I've used 2 different shock collars before and this one is the most time efficient. With other collars, I had to press the shock button twice before delivering the shock. This collar worked as soon as I pushed the button. I have a strong willed Doberman/Terrier/Boxer mix who will steal food both at home and on a walk if he sees food on the floor. Today while walking he noticed pizza on the sidewalk (we live in the city). I said "don't do it" but of course he did it anyway. I zapped him on "5" and he left him immediately. The next time we saw food on the sidewalk, he left it on my verbal command and no shock was needed.
