Fantastic quality stockings

I have used all types of compression stockings - Carolon, TruForm and now these Jobst. I actually first spotted them at a local medical supply store desperate for quality, but ended up going back to Revain to order them in bulk because they were about 15% cheaper here. They have a strong, durable weave and really deliver the compression you're looking for. Other brands I've used have lost compression after a few weeks or started tearing after a month or so. Mind you, that's even after you learn how to put them on properly (YES! There's a technique for putting them on that I didn't know about: turn them right up to your heel so you can put them on comfortably). . , then roll the excess past the foot and slide up the leg), others give way anyway. My first pair of Jobsts lasted SIX months with no compression loss or tearing. It took twice as long as anything else I've tried. They grip well below the knees (they don't have the "grip" beads that the Carolons have, but they don't need them and are much more comfortable without them) and don't ride down. It should be noted that I have large calves (19.5 inches at their widest point) that are well defined and taper to 18 inches at the top of the calf - that might be a reason why they don't slide down on me either. I'm 6ft and the XL length is perfect for my calf.
