I like the brightness of this led strip. The mounting tape should be discarded. The tape is very thin and doesn't hold the light in place. I taped the light to the side panel in the cargo area of our SUV. I bought this light to fit in the trunk of our Ford Edge as there was only a small 1" x 2" light for the trunk and it was at ground level. As soon as you place your shopping bag in front of this light, you can no longer see anything in the hold. This light allows you to see the cargo hold at night. Even the grocery store clerk commented on the brightness and how beautiful it is! I unplugged the stock light and used a power cord to connect this light as it turns off automatically when the rear sunroof is closed and turns on automatically when the sunroof is activated. The reason why I would not give this lamp 5 stars overall. This light is very cost effective and easy to install with various mounting tapes.
