I bought this hard drive because I needed a fast and reliable hard drive to back up a large QNAP NAS. The hard drive in the Lacie d2 is an Enterprise Seagate Ironwolf Pro HD hard drive used in many NAS devices and comes with a 5-year warranty. The 16TB Lacie d2 is the largest standalone external hard drive you can buy today, a 7200rpm enterprise hard drive. It's a reasonable price for what it does and I had no problems setting up and using the Lacie d2.
