Review on Hitch Burley Design Travoy Trailer by Andrew Grant

As expected, Burley designed and built an exceptional bike. The Travoy pendant is discussed elsewhere and is a very unique and useful pendant. This hitch is essential if you want to quickly use the Travoy trailer on multiple bikes. This optional tow bar is well built with solid fittings and a strong connection. The quick release works well. Seems to be designed for continuous use. The only drawback is the limited space for quick releases. If the seat post is very small, the quick release lever will be very close to the saddle. This makes it difficult to work with gloves. The second related problem is the angle. Since not all seat posts have the same angle, the pin mounting angle is not the same on every bike. Therefore, the travoy trailer sometimes needs to be lifted or maneuvered to pull the rubber travoy receiver onto the pin. I didn't rate the overall concept but there could be a better option. For customers who have many different bikes or want to lend one to a friend, having a towbar on every bike is not ideal. A better solution would be a Travoy quick coupler so it can be quickly fitted to any bike seat post. Basically find a way to eliminate the need for a hitch (Travoy is so cool!)
