We bought these because my daughter is a ballet dancer and she loved the animated film Jump! If you've seen him, then you know that Felici, the main character, wears just such ballerinas. When my daughter saw her, she gasped. When she first tried them on, she found them uncomfortable. I think actually because they are more supportive than their regular flats (thicker). Now she wears them every day to dance around the house, so she's used to them feeling different than others.
