DO NOT buy this if using with a Rode NT1a Microphone with Pop Screen and Shock Absorber. The stand tips over. Luckily I'm a fitness freak and had ankle weights that I no longer use. I put 15 pounds of weight on the base of the stand and now it works great. Maybe the whole 15 kilos aren't necessary, but I don't want a broken microphone. So if you have some weights to keep it up, fine. Or if you use a lighter mic without a pop filter or shock mount, you'll be fine. Otherwise, keep your hands off this microphone stand!
