Review on Topeak Panoram V16 16 Function Dual Wireless Cycle Computer with Cadence: Your Ultimate Cycling Companion by Curtis Donjuan

Select another cycle computer from another company

I was hoping for an upgrade from my previous cycle computers. It still comes with cheap plastic handlebar mounts like the previous series. I had 4 V12 Wireless models. I like the big display for my MTB, but that's where it ends. When I first received the V16 product, the computer's battery itself was "DEAD". I know that usually even the docs say it has a shorter lifespan than a normal store bought battery, but it should arrive DOA. "LET'S NOW", at this price it should work PERIOD! This time I was looking for a cadence and temperature control function, BOTH SUCK! The Cadence just decides to work when it wants, and I even swapped out that battery for a brand new one. It comes with small cheap zip ties to attach the magnet to the handlebars and the transmitter to the bike frame itself. Topeak could have designed a more secure system to hold these parts in place since the bike vibrates so much. The temperature display works up to 100 degrees, then the middle number is no longer displayed. What a pot! I was already disappointed by previous Topeak models. I really gave this company a chance to be successful with these computers, have been riding Topeak radometers since 2003, I just can't support their products in this area anymore. Some of their other products work great, like floor/mini pumps and pressure gauges, but they have to supply bike computers to other companies.
