This thermos keeps coffee hot for hours and still warm after 8 hours. The major disadvantages lie in the design of the seal. I have yet to find a spring-loaded "pop-up" sealed spout that is reliable or easy to clean, and this thermos is no different. Every morning after carrying it to work, there is coffee in the mug/lid because the seal on the pull-out spout just doesn't work. In addition, after pouring and closing, a few tablespoons remain in the spout, which are again in the lid and flow down the outside of the thermos the next time you remove them. I got tired of wiping my desk at work so I threw this thing in the trash just before writing this review.
