I like my new cover. I bought a king size bedspread for my king size bed and it fits perfectly. I wanted one big enough to use without a bed skirt because I am SO tired of bed skirts and never want to use one again in my life. This spread hits the ground, no puddles. That's what I was hoping for given the size. I chose this pattern because I wanted something calming and peaceful. My other bedspread, which I'll probably still use occasionally in the winter, has a lot of crazy patterns, and I decided I wanted to be quieter for a while. This color was enough to draw attention while remaining a calming and soothing design. It's also suitable for summer - not as dense as other spreads. But I think it will be warm enough for cold weather use. I think it's a good compromise weight. I wasn't sure if I would use imitation. The spread would have looked great without her, especially since I ordered the king and fabrics for the work are plentiful. But they're pretty cute, and more importantly, they're soft and comfortable if you want to lift yourself up to read in bed, for example. They've washed up well so far so I'm not worried about using them. But I think you can still settle for that. It's a good thing they're in the box, so the question isn't "Would I want to spend an extra $60 on a goddamn fake?" (that's the question I should have asked when looking at other bedspreads looked at), but "Should I still use those knockoffs that came with the comforter?" I think this comforter is actually a good deal.
