These straighteners heat up very well and work well. The big downside is that there is no room at the end of the curling iron to put your fingers in without burning them. Even with a double thermal glove, you can't keep them there for more than a few seconds. I don't know why they didn't leave an inch at the end for you to put your fingers in, but that's poor design for those of us who automatically use both hands to thread hair through the iron. The product itself is well made and it's great to have all the different sizes available but I wouldn't buy it again knowing the heat issue.
