I bought a black keyboard case. It looks great on the keyboard when you first get it. I sometimes use my Magic Keyboard with my space gray Macbook Air and the case goes great with it. The lid stays in place for the most part, no issues with shifting or moving. However, it has not stood the test of time. I've had it for a few months now and the black color is already wearing off on some of my most used buttons. It is difficult to clean and easily picks up stains and lint. I stopped using it because I found that the black paint on the bottom made the keyboard keys dirty. I was able to get the stain out with a little elbow grease and a disinfectant wipe, but if you keep that coating indefinitely. Who knows if the stains will become permanent.
