Eons ago, I borrowed an otoscope to look in my daughter’s ear, as she had an ear infection. Then all I saw was red and inflamed. Using this however you seem to be looking in alien territory. Once charged, I connected the camera, but on an ear cover and I was in business. It really surprised me to look in my own ear. Having had ear issues as a child my eardrum was not normal. But I only had a tiny bit of wax build up in one ear. My boyfriend’s ear looked completely different.I wish I had this when my kids were young. Both of them had ear issues. My daughter had many ear infections that use to plug her ears and my son had ear wax issues. They would have both benefited from this.Of course you need to be cautious, as your ears are very sensitive, the ear covers keep you from going too far, but those metal tools don’t have limits.This is a nice device for personal care and I’m sure can save a person who has ear wax issues a lot of angst
