. They fit well and they are good sturdy boots. The problem is that the laces end well before the tip of the shoe, more specifically the tip of the tongue, creating a significant gap that allows A LOT of snow to get under the tongue to where the laces are. If overtightened, the snow won't penetrate further into the boot, but will leave at least a good inch of the inside of the tongue wet. They have a nice fluffy lining that kept my son's feet warm apart from the top tongue. A thick fluffy lining is almost harmful, because once it is wet it dries for a very long time.
