First off it runs 1/2 size small. I am a 7.5 and got this boot in an 8 which fits exactly as a 7.5. The color is definitely lighter than advertised but it is still very nice and compatible with a lot of outfits. It may be hard to tell in the photos, but the upper boot and calf area is HUGE. There is probably at least 1.5" space from the calf up that does not touch my leg. The advertised pictures make it look very sleek and form fitted which is what I wanted. These are not that at all. People say you can tighten the straps. No, I beg to differ. You cannot do this without wrinkling or folding the top back fabric which hits me right in the back bend of my knee and is extremely annoying as well as uncomfortable. This also makes the boot look weird when the top part is wrinkled and folded to try and fit it to your leg. See my last photo. It's still slightly folding from where I attempted this and then tried to correct it. It is also a very warm boot. Not sure I could wear it even in springtime or summer time with dresses or skirts because it gets pretty warm to me. I am disappointed that it is not a fitted boot, but I am trying to wear it anyways. I am 5'3" and it literally lands right in the bend of my knees.
