Review on WHITIN Boys' Outdoor Shoes: Minimalist, Antislip & Lightweight Comfort by Michael Hudson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Powerlifting, Walking, General Use

1. This is a sock shoe. This assumes they fit snugly around your foot like a sock as the rubber soles will stretch to accommodate the width of your foot. I usually wear a size 8.5 in Vans with extra toe room so I ordered an 8. They fit well without socks, they fit even better with normal cotton socks. Some users claim that the socks allow their feet to slide inside the shoe, which makes sense if your sock material is a nylon blend. the knit material allows the upper foot to breathe and of course the rubber retains heat as it is not breathable. However, when you're moving or working out, I can't imagine you'd want to reduce blood flow to your feet to keep them cool. You want them to be warm and ready to root your toes etc which they say they can get very hot especially in the sun but that is the nature of the material and if you are with absorbent cotton socks be warned If you are sweating, you should be fine.3. I've worn them on a few short walks and I love them. I won't be running 12 miles on broken glass anytime soon, so for my purposes of walking around campus and using them at the gym, I don't see any performance issues. I will update this rating with lifespan after a few months of use.4. For lifting purposes this is just that, what I had hoped for. The rubber outsole compresses under weight for a very flat and grippy base, while the knit material allows the toes to splay for stability. The big test was on the sumo deadlift and I was pleased that there was no outward slippage of the sole and no slippage of the material (when wearing cotton socks). use at the gym, they seem like a killer deal and I already have another pair on the way. Forget the proverbial elevator, just buy them and save $40. that there was no external slippage in the sole and no internal slippage in the material (when wearing cotton socks). use at the gym, they seem like a killer deal and I already have another pair on the way. Pros
  • Durable rubber outsole is engineered for protection and durability in demanding environments.
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
