I am only reviewing the use of this product with the 1st Gen Apple Pencil, I don't know about the 2nd Gen Apple Pencils. First, they're all packaged in a nice little tin can with a window so you can see all ten lace caps. I will be using the specified jar to store other small charger parts and lid holders. Moving on, there are ten colors, even if you're not into color at all. Clear, white, black, grey, green, red, yellow, celadon, pink and navy blue. And they're close enough to the colors of Apple products if that's what you want. The yellow went really well with my yellow Apple smart covers. It went on very easily and held up, I didn't have to remove the tip of the pencil to apply it. I often use the Procreate app for drawing and it works great, I use another app Notify to take notes and it makes it so much better, I can't hear the hard tip of an apple pencil constantly hitting the protective glass of mine iPad knocks . It doesn't drag across the screen like I thought it does, it works great. This gives me better control than I expected when drawing, without the occasional slippage that sometimes happens with an old hard apple pencil tip. I highly recommend them if you want a quieter pen tip and some sanity or are looking for better drawing control without losing Apple Pencil functionality then you won't regret your purchase! I would also like to warn anyone with pets or children not to get caught in the extra parts of the tip cap or get close to your Apple Pen and somehow remove and swallow it. I don't have either but just thought I'd mention it as they aren't permanently attached to the pen tip as a precaution.
