Sensi Support fits thermostats and accessories

A few months ago I bought 4 wireless Sensi thermostats. We live in the Northeast and are heading into the winter. I wanted to be able to control the temperature in the house. The 4 thermostats were installed by a professional (the person who installed the gas hot water system 4 years ago) and only controlled the heating. The air conditioning is connected to separate thermostats. It seemed to work, but over time the battery indicator showed a reduced battery level. I contacted sensi and spoke to a sensi representative. He told me that when they checked my connection remotely, all the thermostats were running on battery power and not the home network. He told me that thermostats require 20 to 30 volts to run on household electricity and if they are battery only powered the battery will probably last 3-6 months. When the battery dies, they are just as effective as doorstops. Obviously this is an unacceptable risk for me. I took a voltmeter and checked the wiring. My thermostat is 26 or 27 volts. I tried to contact sensi via email and phone but got no reply. Since I no longer have time to modify and test my Sensi thermostats, I have replaced the Sensi thermostats with used Honeywell and Lux programmable thermostats. I am not satisfied with the Senshi service.
