They are not nested when empty.
We love Lock n Lock for their ability to close securely. We've been using the HPL321 for ten years and only replace them when the panels break. We couldn't find the HPL321 anymore so I ordered some HPL817 models, they appear to be replacements. I was hoping for an upgrade, maybe seals that don't get stuck in it and rot. They're good, but they don't nest, so storage takes up a lot of closet space. I guess we'll have to keep looking for a replacement. How their design team eliminated nesting from the specs remains a mystery.
