Review on Remington Adjustable Comb MB 4020 MB 4040 by Anthony Wiley

RESULT: Perfect for my damaged trimmer guide. Unfortunately, Remington's R&D folks still haven't improved the flimsy, somewhat imperfect design. but this is a replacement, not an alternative/upgrade. Works well and no longer scratches my beard. 4 STARS. THOUGHTS: I wish the material for this thing was about 1mm thicker on all sides. I also hate that the spikes aren't connected at the top. My old (20+ year old) Remington trimmer had a rotating adjustment guide (a belt that rotated left and right, not a disc that adjusted up and down) and the plastic for that guide/comb was something softer (not so brittle). ) and most importantly, the teeth of the comb did NOT separate. The disconnected design at the top of this trimmer's comb teeth allows them to shift or flex too easily during shaving, sometimes taking off more than you want/intend. But what is is. At least I can use my trimmer again with a fully intact comb/head that has no teeth and is digging into my face (Oops!).
