Ideal for many applications. By default, it is in DRL mode. Flipping the power button puts it into full power mode. Excellent for many ATVs, construction vehicles and non-automotive applications. For a car, I would prefer a dual cable that allows the car to control the DRL. However, it can be connected to an additional switch and used as daytime running lights until you need full brightness. This can work well on trucks and vehicles with upfitter switches. Otherwise you will need a wire harness and toggle switch to complete the installation. I find this to be a very high quality light panel that also looks very nice.
