I really hate it when reviewers unnecessarily criticize a product. Here is the actual operating temperature of this device when plugged into a USB port with NO BATTERIES INSTALLED. Alkaline batteries ARE NON-RECHARGEABLE AND MUST BE REMOVED BEFORE attempting to use USB power. As you can see, the LED array is well below body temperature during normal operation. A solar powered watch is ONLY a good idea if you spend enough time in the sun. If you spend most of your time indoors with little artificial light, there's a good chance the sun's energy isn't enough to charge the watch's battery, causing the watch to die. This device makes it easy to keep your solar powered watch running at peak performance with minimal effort. If you have a solar powered G-Shock watch like mine, you know how difficult it is to charge the battery to "H". This state of charge was already reached after 2-3 hours on the charger.
