I think it serves the purpose of a toy camera. My daughter and niece love playing with this, it's fun and magical. However, if you want premium photos, they may not live up to your expectations. But as a camera for kids to develop fun for kids and let kids record the meaningful things in life, it's worth it. By the way, it has survived many falls and the lanyard will come in handy.
