The main advantage of this antenna is its size…. about 6 inches high and one inch in diameter. It's basically a "Rubber Duck" style enclosed antenna found on a UHF walkie-talkie. The transmitter towers are 25-40 miles away, there are no hills, and it picks up a lot of signals when placed on a windowsill at 90 degrees from the towers' line of sight. I'm sure it would work even better if mounted on a windowsill overlooking the towers. I didn't get any channels unless I was in the window, but from such a distance it's clear. The bunny ear style antenna worked better for a small number of VHF stations.
