I bought my son for his 5th birthday, my sister has another brand. It's very bright as it doesn't have a light shade. Very durable, dropped several times without damage. TIP: There is an unlock/lock switch on the side. You have to put it in the unlocked position to clear the screen. This is a handy feature that other manufacturers don't have. If you use it to quickly jot down a number, list, or other important information instead of a draft, it "saves" so that the "Clear" button is enabled. You won't accidentally lose the information you just wrote down. To clear the screen when you're ready, simply slide the switch and press the circle button at the bottom of your tablet. This saved us a lot of paper and trees! It also kept mom sane when we allowed him in the car or while waiting in some places. This amuses him greatly since it is an open-ended "toy". I love that he can be creative and not have his face glued to an electronic screen. This is a must for all ages. I can only recommend this product and will buy it again. I could get one!
