Surprisingly bright for a reading lamp. It's durable, well made, adjustable and comes with a charging cable as no batteries are required. You can click the two buttons above to adjust the lighting modes by brightness/mood. I like to place the clip on an open book (directly on the cover) when I sit and read, it allows for hands-free reading as the clip holds the book open nicely. This clamp may seem too big to some, depending on the size of the book you are reading. My real interest is to use this clamp for other purposes. I've mounted it on a shelf in my garage to use as a task light and also in my pantry at night when I'm sneaking out midnight snacks and don't want to turn on the main light in the kitchen. In general, it has many uses, not just for its intended purpose. Use it for DIY projects, attach it to a shelf in a closet without a light, use it as a night light, use it as a flashlight, etc. Overall, this is a great product!
