I bought these on purpose as I needed lots of markers for little money so I could spank the ever loving snot. I use them for sketching, not coloring, and they're fantastic for that. The brush nib works great and they come with replacement nibs if they become worn/strange. Good range of colors and they represent the color quite well. The fine tip doesn't work that well though - you have to leave it fine tip down for a few minutes before you can use it, which can be a problem when in the middle of a drawing. in an example. Like I said, I got them with the intention of doing a sloppy job with the end of the brush and they were great for that. I expect it to be great for kids (the ink washes off the skin quite easily) and any artist who wants to draw a lot of things very quickly without giving up more expensive supplies. However, I wouldn't recommend actually giving it to an artist - it would be like giving a professional baker a box of cupcakes for the hostess - but just as a baker sometimes forgoes the artisanal effort and opts for sweet, chemical cupcakes instead So an artist might want to leave their copics on their desk while they go completely insane with these affordable and plentiful ink swatters.
