I recently got this and another more mask-like set of 'sleep headphones' because I love having something soothing in my ears at night. Drowns out obsessive thoughts when they are and just the general noise of the city and my apartment building. It's not that bad, but you know it when you're half asleep and a gentle tap, pat, or breeze wakes you up just as you're about to get a good night's sleep. Yes - I hate it! So I've been using white noise devices and stuff like that for years. But now I'm married and sometimes my spouse listens to songs that bore me or I want to hear an Alan Watts talk instead or something. Headset for sleeping! The other one I got was chunky and while it blocks the light better, it's more comfortable and has decent sound quality. It has very nice, flat speakers inside that you won't bump into. The fabric is much cooler compared to a large soft sleep mask and is easier to move up and down when you need to peek behind something in the middle of the night. It also stretches to fit rather than something uncomfortable like velcro. what can scratch you if it fits. It's actually not what I need near my face! It was a near perfect solution to a problem I had had for a long time. The headphones hurt when I sleep on my side.
