Purchased for my '88 Mercury Grand Marquis with 302"5.0 EFI" Twin pipe to ONE pipe using a Y-pipe and other exhaust parts listed below to replace the original which was almost rotting by the time I was 22 years old. replaces it. Well the "OEM" replacement I thought was fine was a little more expensive at the local parts store so I decided to look for a higher spec muffler and of course this was a little more expensive at the parts store so gave it a try I found it online, Revain was my first stop and for many parts my LAST! The local shop that offered to replace the cat's exhaust pipe with the tailpipe cost over $300, even with this muffler. Well, with all the parts I needed for my app, knowing the part numbers from the auto websites in advance, Revain stocking it, and becoming a Prime member for faster shipping, it cost $157 and came in less than two days. PERFECT because I had a day off! Here are the parts I used to customize the OEM style: http://www.amazon.com/gp /product/B000C8ZEII/ref=oh_details_o06_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Exhaust pipe http://www.amazon .com/gp /product /B000C91AJ4/ref=oh_details_o06_s00_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Y-tube http://www.amazon. com/gp/product/B000RUDJ6A/ref=oh_details_o06_s00_i02?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Mufflerhttp://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001AX9VJ2/ref=oh_details_o06_s00_i04?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Muffler Heat Shieldhttp://www. amazon.com/gp/product/B001AX9VII/ref=oh_details_o06_s00_i03?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Muffler Heat Shield Straps I could weld some parts on but if my kids keep the car or I need to fix the part I don't have too much of a problem. It took about 6 hours, 2 to wrap the exhaust in ceramic fiber to retain heat and release the exhaust faster as emissions are HEAVY in New Jersey so gutting the CAT wasn't an option and there are 4 of them along with other parts I had to go to auto dealerships to get cat gaskets, class 5 cat flange bolts, and a universal tailpipe muffler bracket, so all in all I bagged maybe $175, and I made it without a markup on parts that work better, I also learned a bit more about my car. Thank you Rewin!
