Review on ASUS Designo MX27UC Type C Monitor - Adaptive 50Hz, Flicker-Free, Blue Light, Frameless, HD, 4K Display by Mike Ahim

Revainrating 4 out of 5

i love my monitor There's a problem with the XBox, but it's easy to fix.

I really like this monitor. It's smooth and beautiful. The picture is very clear and I connected it to my Mac via DisplayPort. I ran into an issue that actually forced me to return this monitor. but i found a way The problem is that after a few weeks of use on an XBox at 4K, you get a "flickering" black screen. In fact, the screen goes black for a few seconds and then comes back. This will really confuse you when playing online, especially in a battle royale game! I've tried everything. I've tried every setting, new cables, everything. In the end, this is solved by simply disconnecting the power supply from the monitor. Yes, it's inconvenient when you have to do it. but I've only had to do it twice in the last few months. I can't pinpoint exactly in what situation this behavior STARTS, but at least there's a way to prevent it. I just unplug the monitor from behind for 30 seconds and then plug it back in. Otherwise the monitor is perfect. I've had mine for 1 year now and there are no dead pixels, no complaints other than those stated. I can still highly recommend this monitor and I'm only deducting one star because logically there is a problem, even if it's easy for me to solve. and zero complaints about it. I've been using this monitor with my Mac for THREE years now. I'm using this (MX27UC) over DP on my Mac and using a non-4K MX27AQ monitor as a second display over HDMI. My conclusion: ASUS builds great monitors. Hope this helps someone!
