I've had several wireless keyboards, some mechanical, and all had problems. This is my favorite so far. I got it for Christmas 2020 and have had it for a few months now. I have not experienced long battery life at all. I'm a writer so I type a lot, sometimes many hours a day, and that's one of the main reasons I bought this knowledge base. I still have to plug it in and charge it about once a week. Yes I know. First world problems ;) NO, I don't use the backlight, almost never, usually only when I need to use the number keys in the dark (rarely, a few times a week), so it's not the LEDs that are draining the battery . My battery life with this KB wasn't much different than others I've used, which is why I'm reaching out to the manufacturer on this. Unless I have a bad machine, there's a lot of exaggeration here. Bluetooth connection is fine. I've had other BT products that didn't connect at all or stayed connected and were sent back so this is a welcome improvement. I haven't checked the distance, I usually sit within 5ft of the PC. No issues other than a slight delay between the button press and the on-screen result. Wireless USB dongle KBs are faster, but I haven't seen another KB with as many features in this price range, so I can live with the lag. I'm not a gamer. I hate cables so I'm happy with this one. The biggest problem I've encountered is what I call "key escaping". I don't know what else to call it, but sometimes pressing one key leads to many, like kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk. No, my finger hasn't pressed the button for a long time. It's either KB Brain or PC or Windows or BT connection. I don't know what's to blame. This happens every few days, sometimes very often, and only turning the KB off and on again or charging clears it up. Almost all wireless KBs I've used do this, but this keychron is arguably the worst. The main reason I'm leaving this KB is the printing experience. This is the best mechanical KB I have ever used. This is my first blue switch experience. They're still too bright and sensitive compared to the reds for me, but they're also a little quieter and less annoying to hear than the others, delivering an almost musically beautiful sound that's less bulky and harsh. I'm considering opening up the case and stuffing it with foam to make it even quieter. I'm glad I got the hot-swappable version of the switch. I'm curious to experiment with other types of switches to get the stronger keystroke I'm looking for. The build quality is phenomenal. Feels like solid rock. Looks great. I like the single orange ESC key in the corner and am not tempted to replace it with the gray ESC key they provide, but I'm glad for the opportunity. As a writer, I use the arrow and other page navigation keys all the time. and I don't need number keys so this keymap is perfect for me. Small and compact. It's a little thick/big and I use a wrist rest with it. No complaints. I'm glad he's not skinny. For around $100, it's almost perfect. Very very happy.
