I enjoy the stream of data this device generates. I don't like messing around with sensors. To be clear, the sensor's battery life is estimated at 200 hours. Okay, but there's no on/off switch. You need to disassemble them and remove the battery to extend the battery life. Or just change the batteries every week. But it is neither easy nor convenient. Each time the battery is removed and replaced, the sensor must be remapped to function properly and reinstalled. Attaching to the crank for cadence is easy, but attaching to the hub for speed is an entirely different matter. I created a hook shaped tool to pull and stretch the ribbon in the spokes of the wheel. And of course, updated sensors must be reinitialized with the instrument; It helps to place them very close together. I understand that from a design point of view the sensor body does not need to be perforated to be waterproof. But why is there no closed switch? An indicator light can also be fitted instead of quickly flipping it over to catch a momentary red or blue glow on the front. I hope that a new generation of sensors will fix these obvious shortcomings. Now I mostly take the good with the uncomfortable bad.
