Review on πŸ“± Sony SWR10 SmartBand with NFC, Waterproof IP58 - Compatible with Android 4.4 KitKat and higher by Jason Adams

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Expected more from clasps, bangles and bracelets

I expected a little more. At first it should work with our new Sony Xperias, but turns out we'll have to wait until KitKat even gets it to work (Sony doesn't work with Sony, even as advertised). Actions are not recognized correctly. Driving a car means "doing nothing" in 8 out of 10 cases; A one-hour workout on an elliptical trainer is either walking or cycling. Worse, we haven't found a way to fix the phone app issue. So for me any tracking is useless if I have incorrect activity and calorie counts. However, it's nice that you can tap it to activate, skip and pause the music player (on a Sony phone, at least). It's really handy when you hold your phone on a bandage. In general, for the price and from Sony, it should measure heart rate, oxygen levels and altitude. There are cheaper competing models that offer all that and more.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Expensive
