I first found a 1 gallon version of this tank in the Revain catalog and thought it was too small, but when I found this 1.5 gallon version I decided to try it with cherry shrimp. Everything has been great so far, but I blocked the filter with a sponge so the shrimp didn't suck it up. The tank itself is one gallon in volume. The bottom filter holds another half gallon. I don't think the bettas will be comfortable in this tank as there is only one gallon of swimming space. I think if the company could make 3 or 4 gallons it would be a lot better for the betta! The design is really neat.
