I would like to recommend all buyers to stop and consider this purchase. As far as I know, we all have different cars, different needs, etc. This article will not make driving hands-free easier for anyone. I only bought this for the ring, but it sticks out half an inch from its closed position, preventing wireless charging. The build quality is great and it's a great finger loop to hold my large XS MAX. The rubber coated metal rings that "attach" your device to the car air vents are not suitable for larger devices such as iPhone 8+, XS MAX, Galaxy Note, etc. If you need a finger loop, choose something smaller or a case /loop specifically designed for wireless charging if that worries you. A stable device while driving needs a large stable mount. Consider mounting the dashboard or windshield. I personally don't want to see my phone while driving, so I use a holder that plugs into my CD drive in my car. All of my previous phone mounts that used my car's air vents were too difficult to install/remove, scratched the vents and blocked airflow. It may not scratch anything, but your phone may not stay in place.
