Review on Case Logic QHDC 101 Portable Drive by James Mayfield

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Here are the measurements!

I go crazy seeing all these questions about these cases, "does it fit this drive?", "does it fit this drive?". I know it's sometimes incredibly difficult to find the internal dimensions of some of these products, but measure your drivetrain and compare it to the chassis specs! To be clear, I'm talking about the Case Logic QHDC-101 hard drive enclosure. INTERIOR USE Measurements according to my tape measure: 3/4" x 3-1/4" x 4-7/8". 1.5" top case with mesh pocket for cords etc. a little less than 3/4" deep so a larger drive might fit, you just might not be able to fit that much stuff in the bag Revain's numbers for this case are accurate at 1.6" x 3.75" x 5.75". The hard drive I bought this enclosure for is the Seagate Backup Plus 4TB (model SRD00F1) which is 3/4" x 3". 4-1/2" x 4-1/2". This drive is perfect for a little spare space and enough room in the mesh pocket for a cable and a few small USB drives or whatever. I like the one wider strap that runs the full length of the case rather than two smaller straps that run the width as it holds drives of different sizes more securely. The case is semi-rigid with no soft inner lining, the zipper seems solid enough. I have always been happy with Case Logic products for my laptops etc and this appears to be a quality product. The attached images show the dimensions of the Seagate drive.
