Review on Photography Lighting Equipment Dimmable Temperature by Jared Tovar

Inexpensive, but good for camera and photo

These are super budget flashlights. They are very light. Every part of it from the stand, light and even the power supply almost has no weight. Softboxes are a shame to carry. Easier with two people (one person holds the other end). My biggest complaint is with the lowest lighting level. thirty%? Which is maybe unfair because I put them against the wall right behind my desk. I later learned that you want the lights to illuminate them farther from the subject. I ended up with different lighting, and after learning about this, my current lights are actually brighter than they were. Therefore, to achieve the best results in any studio lighting, set a certain distance between the light sources and the subject. If you have more money to spend and want to control the color temperature, GVM panels are the right choice. Newer panels - due to different light intensities, it is more difficult to adjust the color temperature (GVM does this for you). These headlights (EMart) are either 5500k or 2700k - super easy. You just adjust it - which can be fine - the 5500k is daylight balanced and you can adjust the white balance if needed.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Basically ok, but...
