I love these harnesses for my pups! Having small dogs, I do not use collars because with pulling, collars can be damaging to their neck and trachea. Some harnesses have straps that can dig into their body as well.This harness is perfect. It’s a step-in harness, which it much safter to put on. It’s the perfect width so as not to impede their movement. This harness also is very sturdy. The Velcro closure is secure, the plastic clip locks in place and the fabric and stitching is very secure. The size chart on this harness is also more accurate than others I’ve purchased. My 7-month-old papillon is in his awkward stage, so he’s long and skinny. Other harness sizes were so far off because the neck and chest circumference didn’t consider their length. With the design of this harness, the length is not an issue for my dogs. Also, the loop in the front to attach a nametag is great. Other harnesses I’ve had didn’t have that.My Papillon’s measurements are neck 10” and chest 16.5”. I chose a Small for the chest measurement, and It’s a great fit. There’s still some growing room, but he can’t slip out. I also got one for his big brother in a Medium.
