It works great just not for our dog

This collar works but terrifies the poop out of our dog as she pees all over her self when we go to put it on after the first time she discovered that she yanked too hard it did the trick by making her stop but nevertheless she hates it and cowers every time she hears the chains and knows we are putting them on her the distress isn’t worth it and has caused her to do so much submissive peeing that we couldn’t use it any further

Pros
  • My dobie is walking so much better now that I staying using the collar. I'm sold!
Cons
  • This is a lie and should be removed. NOT stainless and full of rust after 3 weeks of ownership

Could KILL your dog! Throw away!

Our dogs just happened to have their yearly checkup the day I received this order from revain. Well, our vet's office was HORRIFIED when we mentioned we'd bought a pinch collar and pretty much DEMANDED that we immediately throw it away! They ranted for 10 minutes about how they cripple dogs with spinal injuries (like chain choke collars, which I knew already) and that these things resulted in throat, esophageal and other injuries and could easily lead to dogs DYING! OMG, I had no idea! My…

Pros
  • Not bad at e
Cons
  • Didn't work for my dog.

fitting issues best in my review

I sent it back, not because it does not work. let me explain. I have a mastiff. i measured her and it should have been snug according to measuring her and the product. however it was past snug. I looked all over the internet as to how this could be. essentially you need about 2 inches more than whatever size you are buying, so for example if her neck is 23 inches, she needs a 25 inch collar. I thought, well ok, i will buy one or two individual prongs then, but this company didn't offer it so i…

Pros
  • 6.3 x 6 x 1.1 inches; 11.99 Ounces
Cons
  • May require additional training techniques to be effective

Good solid collar best in my review

I have a 74lb golden lab and went with the XL size. Probably could have went with the large but you can remove links so it will fit. The prongs are probably larger than I expected but it has been a good collar. Definitely stops your dog from pulling on walks.

Pros
  • Helps to reduce leash aggression
Cons
  • May be uncomfortable for the dog to wear in hot weather

Difficult to put on and remove

The prongs aren't sharp but are very inflexible. Takes me both hands and a few minutes to put it on or take it off my (fortunately very patient) pup. However it does function as expected and may just need time/use to get easier.

Pros
  • Can be adjusted to fit your pet's neck size as he or she grows
Cons
  • May require professional help to adjust properly

Good quality on my review.

I was looking for a pinch collar in stainless steel and found this one. It's a good basic pinch collar. I have arthritis so pinching the prongs to open the collar is a little bit tough for me, but my husband can do it easily. And I can do it myself when I have to. It works as expected and the one I got is a good length for a medium sized dog.

Pros
  • Collars
Cons
  • May cause the dog to develop negative associations towards training

A little hard to use

Is collar does a good job of controlling our wayward dog. My only issue with it is that only one link will unfasten when it's time to put it on or take it off because the metal links are so tight. That would be fine if the one joint was marked, but I have to look for it every time. The metal is more rigid then similar collars I've had in the past.

Pros
  • Helps to maintain better control of your pet in public areas
Cons
  • May be uncomfortable for the dog to sleep in

Fits the bill on my review.

Really helping us to prevent the dog from tugging - a must for someone who walks with a stroller, carries a baby, or has poor balance.

Pros
  • B075R27CBR
Cons
  • May cause the dog to develop behavior problems if not used correctly

Hard to put on good for me

Returning this because it's too hard to put on and take off. There is a risk of poking your dogs eyes when doing so. Going for one with a quick release. Did not realize this was lacking that.

Pros
  • Ideal for large breeds such as German Shepherds and Rottweilers
Cons
  • May be uncomfortable for the owner to wear

Stops young retriever from pulling

Whenever I walk our two 100#+ retrievers, they pull like crazy, even though they know they're not supposed to. When only walking one at a time, they are each well-behaved, but for some reason, when these young brothers are together they forget themselves and act like maniacs at times. This collar reminds the dog to behave and whenever he feels the desire to pull, it gives him a pinch and he immediately slows down. No need to yank on the leash. I'm hoping to need it less as the dogs mature a…

Pros
  • Quality training collar, well made. Reasonable cost
Cons
  • May not be suitable for all dogs' neck size and shape

No more anxious dog walks

It works great! My dog is very nervous and anxious outdoors and will pull and bark aggressively a people but with this she controls herself because she know she can not pull.

Pros
  • Can promote good behavior in your dog
Cons
  • May not provide enough control over the dog

Good quality: my feedback

Put this on my dog who has been pulling me slipping her collar. Worked immediately so far. Great for training stubborn dogs.

Pros
  • Offers a humane approach to dog training
Cons
  • May cause the dog to become excessively thirsty

Worked great for leash training!

Worked wonders for leash training my large puppy (8 month old German Shepherd). She didnt seem bothered by it as if it was hurting her. Fit her very well with a little bit of give, she is 80 lbs. Also works great with her when we have to put her on her running chain.

Pros
  • Serves as an ideal tool for obedience training
Cons
  • May be expensive compared to other training collars

Dangerously Sharp Prongs

The prongs are sharp therefore they scratch and cut actually cut de dog’s skin,If you care about your dog and don’t want to injure him / her, then buy other brand.

Pros
  • Can be used for both short and long-term training purposes
Cons
  • May cause the dog to become overly submissive towards humans

Good collar for my opinion

Has held up great with my large dog, no problems so far. It's pretty tough to get open, which is why it's only 4 stars, but still a really great collar!

Pros
  • Comes with clear instructions for easy and safe use
Cons
  • May require additional training to be effective

Stops leash pulling.

Works as intended, but the link gets jammed and it takes some muscle to fix it. I don't get pulled anymore though. He's learning leash manners much better now.

Pros
  • Provides an effective way to control your pet in high-stress situations
Cons
  • May cause the dog to become fearful of humans

In a word: weak good for me

For the price point, it seemed reasonable. With that said, I replaced it once because it broke within the first 90 days. Then the replacement broke just outside of 90 days. Neither instance required much pressure and I’m just fortunate that the dog I was handling didn’t attempt to escape. I would avoid this product, it’s not worth the potential headache.

Pros
  • Can help to prevent destructive behavior
Cons
  • May cause the dog to become overly cautious or timid

Good Collar good for me

I like this collar, but we are on the 3rd one, as the links tend to bend and come apart. The first one lasted almost 2 years, the second, just 2 months, just received the third. Fingers crossed for durability!Initially, I had to purchase it after my dog took me for a walk and I ended up at urgent care. He is 60 pounds of strength and excitement, especially when he sees a squirrel. This collar makes it possible for me to have some type of control.

Pros
  • Provides a gentle alternative to choke chains
Cons
  • May cause the dog to become overly reliant on the collar

Purchased for my adopted German Shepherd for training . he is something of a houdini and slipped a regular collar and a harness. Until adjusted for size , he managed to slip this collar but resizing it has made that problem go away . As wwith all choker collarrs you must use good judgement , and not be heavy handed with it . but he now can be tied out for a few minuits to do his bussiness , and doesn't try to escape. I do not leave him out unatended . this collar is not ment for any tie out…

Pros
  • Features an easy to use pinch mechanism
Cons
  • May cause the dog to develop negative associations towards the owner

Great collar don't get me wrong and my 120lb Rottie responds well to it. I have experience with training dogs and really love these collars (The only reason I had to purchase this is that I left my previous one on a park bench). I also have very strong hands: The links on this collar will NOT come off without adjustment. I had to take a pair of channel locks to each and every individual link and squeeze them into a position where they were easy to work with.If you can (or want to) do this. Buy…

Pros
  • Can be used for daily walks or training sessions
Cons
  • May not be durable enough for dogs that chew on their collar
