I was using the Huawei Freebuds 3i, and they produced an excellent sound. Excellent carrying bag and outstanding performance from the headphones, however I was so effusive in my praise for them that my wife stole them from me. Now that I've thought about it, I believe I'll treat myself to a newer model. Besides, the quality of the newer model has almost certainly improved. According to reviews, not only did they significantly reduce their level of self-discharge, but they also improved as a headset. Not headphones per se, but a good old-fashioned fairy story. I decided to buy. Then dread overcame me like a wave! 1. My ears are killing me, so I can't listen to them. The new design of the headphones is very repulsive, and neither it nor my wife (onto whose ears I tried to force them) are a good fit for us. In addition, it is not sufficient to simply place them in the sink as 3i does; they need to be shoved, and it is not the size of the nozzle that is the issue; rather, the issue is the shape of the headphones. They were initially conceived of and developed by a Chinese sadist many years ago with the intention of maximizing both pain and suffering. 2. Removing them from the case is an additional challenge, and in comparison to the 3i, the ergonomics are absolutely revolting. You can only grab the edge of the leg, and only after you have already done so once. Even though I have skinny fingers, this is excruciating for me to experience; I can't imagine how others with larger hands must feel. 3. When compared to the previous model, the steel and materials have been made more inexpensively; as a result, the headphones now have an entirely different feel, like a low-quality toy made in China. 4. What a revolting noise! It would appear that in order to save as much energy as they possibly could, they have simplified everything possible. The sound has become flat, and there are no bottoms or tops. There is a slight protrusion in the upper centre. So, instead of voices that flow and wrap one another with overtones, you are forced to listen to shouting pioneers. 5. This is a revolting situation. Although it has shrunk, mastering the art of opening it with one hand remains a formidable challenge (the recess for the nail is gone). 6. The diode that indicated that the headphones were charging when they were placed in the case is no longer present. Because of this, it is now difficult to determine how much charge is left without a phone. In general, not the headphones specifically, but audio equipment in general, a total letdown and waste of money. On the good side, if I ever decide to do something awful to someone, I know precisely what to give him.
