This will not track objects if they move outside of your range of 100-300 yards. It just remembers the last time you put it down somewhere. We bought it as a safety measure for our new camper and are returning it after finding out (tested it with a jeep - drove across town, left in another car and then turned on the app; it said it was still in our house) . I understand Milwaukee is working on this GPS feature and we will buy it again when it is updated. The good thing about this item is that the battery can be easily removed when attaching the item to the device/vehicle, making it easy to store new batteries. Very well done. Great concept, just needs a bit more to really follow the hardware.
