Review on 🎧 Samsung Galaxy Buds Plus, Red True Wireless Earbuds with Wireless Charging Case - US Version by Joseph Lang

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The battery life on them is a game changer! Real all-day battery life tested.

Charged them up and used them all day to evening and I have to say I'm so impressed with the battery life of these headphones. From 9am to 6pm I had 10% left on a full charge with the MAX volume settings, which compares really well to all other Bluetooth headphones: the 11 hours Samsung advertises is at 50% volume. These headphones don't have noise-cancelling, but at a price of $150 compared to all other high-end headphones with this feature, it's a good value compromise for a consumer who doesn't want to pay over $200 for a quality wireless one device wants to output headphones headphones. The Ambient Sound feature is great for when you need to be alert while using both earbuds. I use them with my iPhone XR and downloaded the Galaxy Earbuds Plus app for easy tweaking of the headphones settings, features and sound settings. The sound is great! If I turn them up to full volume with Ambient Sound turned off, I can't hear anything around me other than what's being streamed from my phone. I have AirPod Pros and they sound a little better and the noise cancellation is great, but is $100 better? IMO no, and where I see the value of these Galaxy Buds+ over AirPod Pros is definitely the battery life. So it really comes down to what you value more in your everyday use of your earbuds. AirPod pros can never go straight through my workday without having to charge all 3-4 of them, but the Galaxy earbuds got me through 9 HOURS straight and at the end of the workday I had energy left, what a bluetooth headset is unheard of. If you want to maximize your battery life, just use one earbud for 8-11 hours straight and when it dies, swap out the earbuds and get another 8-11 hours while the other earbud charges. For me, battery life is a game changer, and Samsung just set the standard for what's possible with tiny headphone batteries. They've taken me from a daily Airpod user to a Galaxy Bud Plus proponent, but Android still has a long way to go compared to iOS when it comes to iPhone.

Pros
  • Great choice
Cons
  • It's hard to remember but it was
