I will be short and nice. As a standalone headset that is recommended to be plugged directly into the controller, I agree with some of the negative reviews that the sound is too quiet even at maximum volume. which is a deal breaker for me especially when playing FPS. So I give it 3 stars at best. Now my current setup pairs this headset with the Astro Mix Amp Pro and boy does it unlock the full potential of this headset. The sound is much louder and fuller, and the amplifier allows you to increase the volume for gaming and voice chat. I know this headset is for budget use, so buying a mixer would cost around $150. but in my opinion it's worth it. the comfort is amazing. There is virtually no pinching force at the ear and crown, allowing you to play for hours without discomfort. I've only had this headset for a few days so I can't comment on durability. I'll update this review in a few months to see how it holds up. So far I am very impressed and hope to keep this setup for a long time.
