Review on 🔧 Improved Park Tool BBT-49.2 Bottom Bracket Tool - 39 mm Dimension by Jarrett Love

My local bike shop charges $35 for a bottom bracket replacement. I've always tried to find ways to do business with them, but in this case I think that's one of the reasons they're disappearing. I've done a lot of work on my bike so changing the bottom bracket is nothing new to me. But there are at least five Youtube videos that show you how to do it. The only problem is finding the right BB tool. With some lubricant and a tool you probably already have in your toolbox, this bottom bracket shell makes changing the bottom bracket an easy task. After 2 tries I finally found the correct BB tool size for my BB-R9100. It fits like a glove. Why externally threaded bottom brackets come in different sizes is beyond me. Why can't they be the same size? Anyway, after $30 for the bottom bracket, $25 for the tool, and a half hour of work, I installed a new bottom bracket and no more squeaking. And I still have the tools! A replacement in the store would have cost me €80.
