Review on πŸ”¨ Stanley 69-122 Wood Handle Scratch Awl: A Reliable Tool for Precise Markings and Crafts by Kristen Simpson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Don't let the picture fool you.

I think it's partly my fault for looking at the picture instead of reading the product description. This is NOT made in the USA. Looks good but the handle doesn't go all the way through the handle and now that I've read some of the other reviews I can see that it's probably going to bend or dull soon, which doesn't surprise me. To be honest I'm not the type to demand that everything be done in Murrik - in fact I don't even look at most things because it doesn't matter. But when it comes to simple metal hand tools, you will be disappointed every time they are made by anyone other than American or European. It's just an awl and it's only $6, so I'll keep it for now and won't get upset if the handle breaks or the point dulls too quickly. I'll take a closer look at the description next time.
