Stainless steel containers are expensive. especially with silicone lids; ALTHOUGH these are plastic lids (my fault I assumed) but still worth the investment; especially if the lids are stored. Hand washing the lids is probably the best practice for preservation. ADVANTAGES: Price. great size Easy to stow away. I can't speak to a leaker, but the lids stayed securely in my baby-pale dinner with berries and spices inside. After all, this is not plastic tableware! CONS: Plastic lid. Also, I wasn't happy with the amount of plastic packaging that came with them. See image. But the purchase is still MUCH BETTER than the fully plastic Tupperware equivalent.
