I ordered this razor because I wanted to add a Butterfly safety razor to my collection for a gentle shave. I've been following Parker for a while and have heard a lot of good things about her, and I agree with you to a certain extent. The razor arrived undamaged and in beautiful packaging. The quality of the razor is nice, it has a decent 'weight' so I'm sure it will be an efficient razor. There were a few small dents on the metal, but that didn't bother me too much. Let's get to my favorite part of the razor. Nickel plating is great! I have a nickel plated straight razor in my collection but I really like the finish on this Parker. That's why I'm sending it back. Etching. The engraving is beautiful, the photo doesn't convey it. Also, it's etched fairly deeply, which adds to the beauty. The problem is that it's not in the middle of the barrel. In the first photo it is lying on the table and in the second photo at what angle do I have to hold it to see the engraving directly. For me this is the end of the game. I sent the shaver back and haven't used it so I can't confirm it works. I bet it would do a good job once I figured out its angle. For me, engraving way off center was a deal breaker. The engraving was my main reason for buying it as it really caught my attention. When it got like that, I couldn't take it.
